The order still has enough time, but not much excess room.

Twenty minutes before shift start, Devon receives the call.

The qualified Station Six operator is not coming in.

The absence is legitimate.

The reason does not change the production condition.

Station Six has no assigned operator.

The problem is already active.

Devon walks the line before startup.

Upstream subassembly stations can begin work.

If the line lead becomes the permanent Station Six operator for the shift, nobody is fully controlling the line.
